Big 106.2 and Beat97.8 collaborated with Papa John’s to organize this year’s highly anticipated event, the Youth Icon Hunt 2024: Westford University Audition. The primary objective of the event was to unearth the latent talents of Westford students, encompassing a diverse array of skills such as singing, dancing, acting, and various other talents. The audition drew a significant turnout of enthusiastic students from various academic programs, all eager to showcase their abilities on stage. Renowned RJs from both radio stations, Steve Moore from Beat97.8 and Vardhaman from Big106.2, served as judges for the event.
The participating students delighted the audience with their dynamic performances, displaying exceptional talent in singing, dancing, and stand-up comedy. Following the captivating performances, the jury deliberated and crowned Mohammad Khubaib from the Sports Business program and Kavisha Perrera from the Business Finance Program as Mr. and Ms. Westford Youth Icon Hunt 2024, respectively. These deserving winners are set to represent Westford University in the Grand Finale scheduled for the 29th of February, where they will compete against counterparts from other universities in the UAE.
The Grand Finale promises to be a spectacular event, featuring not only talent showcases but also a fashion show and an IQ test, adding an extra layer of excitement and competition to the proceedings.
