Westfordians Showcased Their Creativity & Talent at Watt Fest

The recent WattFest event in Dubai Academic City was a captivating experience, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. The performance by the Westford Dance and Music Club was remarkable and memorable.

The accolades received by the music club, particularly the People’s Choice Award and Nathan’s recognition as Best Performer, underscored their remarkable talent and energy. Their performance resonated with the audience, creating an electrifying atmosphere throughout the venue.

The dance club’s presentation was equally impressive, featuring innovative choreography inspired by iconic DC Comics characters. From Batman and Superman to Harley Quinn and Cat woman, the performance transported the audience into a world of super heroic spectacle.

Assisting with makeup and costume changes for the performers provided a sense of pride and satisfaction. Despite not securing victory in the dance competition, their unwavering dedication remained evident, inspiring a renewed commitment to excellence in future events.

Wattfest was an extraordinary experience for me as a first-year student. The event showcased exceptional talent and energy from start to finish, with each band delivering impressive performances across various genres. Participating in Wattfest 2024 with the WUC Dance Club was an amazing journey. We dedicated ourselves to rehearsals and embraced every moment, culminating in an exhilarating stage performance. Our theme centered around iconic DC Comics characters, with each one featuring in our routine alongside fitting songs. From preparation to execution, Wattfest proved to be an immensely enjoyable and rewarding experience for all involved.

Wattfest Days were indeed a fuel for mind and body , long hours of practise with a gang of enthusiasts , all time dedicated faculties and choreographer. This competition being my very first since joining Westford, was indeed empowering as well as challenging , my passion for dance is never ending. So do I wanna stop competing ? Never!
