Westford students showcased their immense talent and creativity at JASHN 2023 through various performances that mesmerized the audience. Jashn’23 featured more than 5 events, and students from Westford University took part in all of them. Jashn is the inter-university cultural festival of BITS-Dubai, with participation from universities all over, which was conducted from 13th to 16th March 2023.
Our fashion students have excelled in showcasing their designs at the fashion show. From creative techniques to innovative styling, this show was undoubtedly unique. Our students worked hard to create something special and memorable for the audience and participants to enjoy.
Students from our dance club took part in all competitions, including solo battles, western and eastern group dances, and dancing duets. This was one of the events that the students had been eagerly waiting for and had put in a lot of time and effort in preparation. The eastern group had practiced a choreography that showed how women can still stand up for themselves and be strong even after going through a lot of difficulties.
The students in the Western group concentrated on depicting the Avatar theme for their dance, which revealed what the Avatars are like generally, who their leaders are, and how they cooperate to defend their nation and their people. The ceremo- ny culminated with group photos, lunch and networking with loads of memories to carry back to the next phase of a well-de- served professional and personal journey.
One of the most exciting events of the year was undoubtedly Jashn. "Avatars" was the focus of our Western group. Such a concept brought with it a lot of uniqueness and creativity. The Western group gave this dance a lot of their time, effort, and enthusiasm, and it was clear to see on stage. but getting ready to perform on stage as a group was the best feeling above all. I appreciate Westford and the faculty for giving us the chance to show off our talent.

Participating in the JASHN competition with the theme of Avatar was an unforgettable experience. The preparation for the competition was intense. The Westford dance group spent countless hours in the studio. We wanted to transport the audience into the vibrant and mystical atmosphere of the film. The day of the competition finally arrived, and as we stood backstage, we could feel the nervous excitement running through my veins. As we danced, the audience was captivated. Their applause and cheers fueled our energy, motivating us to give our best. It was truly a unique concept with a new choreography that won the hearts of many!

Dark Circus Fashion Collection
Our talented students from WUC showcased their extraordinary skills and creativity at the JASHN cultural fest organized by BITS Pilani on March 17th, 2023. Under the captivating concept of the “Dark Circus,” our team delivered an enchanting fusion of characters, encompassing clowns, performers, the intriguing Spidora, graceful Ballerina dancers, a captivating Puppet, talented mimes, and mesmerizing magicians.
Their stunning performances, combined with their impeccable costumes and makeup, left the audience in awe. The sheer dedication and hard work of our students paid off, as they secured an impressive second place in the competition. Their achievement is a testament to their passion for the arts and their ability to bring their imagination to life on stage.

The Dark Circus theme is a captivating and enigmatic concept that combines the mysterious and eerie elements of a traditional circus with a dark and twisted twist. It transports the audience into a world filled with illusion, suspense, and macabre beauty.
The performers adorned in haunting costumes and makeup bring to life a unique blend of characters, from haunting clowns to mesmerizing contortionists and mysterious fortune-tellers. The Dark Circus theme offers a thrilling and immersive experience, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur, leaving spectators spellbound and enthralled.
It’s a daring departure from the conventional circus, infusing it with an element of darkness that adds a new layer of intrigue and excitement to the performance.
It was my first time participating in the Jashn fashion show organized by BITS Pilani, it was the most chaotic and fun experience I’ve ever had. As fashion students we’ve learned a lot while working for this fashion show.
