Westford University College Launches BSc Honours Degree Programme in Computing
Westford University College has proudly launched a BSc (Hons) degree programme in computing. The degree is validated by the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in the UK. It is a three-year programme; that enables the students to pursue a world-class degree in computing. During the computing journey, the students explore various subjects and
determine which specialization fits them the best.
The unique proposition of the programme is that it provides a practical approach to learning but is not limited to the development of information systems, programming, software
development, process improvement capabilities, and system analysis and design. Most importantly it strikes a better balance between the practical and theoretical approaches to
computing. The course also allows the students to develop relevant, technical, and practical computing skills demanded by the global industries.
Computing modules are chosen in agreement with the LJMU/Pearson academic framework. Whilst students are required to study the core models, optional modules provide them with an
element of choice within the program. The availability of optional modules/specialization is limited and may differ in accordance with our global academic framework.
Westford University College (WUC) offers an intelligent roadmap to LJMU’s BSc (Hons) degree in computing. The roadmap enables the students to graduate with Higher National
Diploma (HND) in Computing validated by Pearson at the end of two years. Also, the programme permits the students to specialize in three distinct disciplines namely, Software
Engineering, Data Analytics, and Cyber Security. The third-year journey is titled-top-up; it allows the students to further enhance their knowledge and skills in computing particularly on
computing research, trends in computing, artificial intelligence, and data science.
WUC’s computing programme prepares the students to face modern challenges that surface in their work environment particularly due to factors such as digital transformation,
globalization of information, technological advancement, and social trends.
Students gain one-to-one practical and technical learning in our highly equipped computer labs where we have assigned dedicated faculties to contextualize the learning so that our
students understand the latest development around computing, and it allows them to put the theory into practice.
WUC permits the students to pay their course fees via attractive installments despite the programme offered at an affordable price. Tempted? Don't think twice, get in touch with one
