Westford Stays Committed to Its Pledge of Conserving the Environment
We are delighted to share with you the news of Westford's first global tree plantation initiative in partnership with 'One Tree Planted', a non-profit organization that focuses on global reforestation. In honour of Westford's students, 249 trees have been planted across 11 different countries in Asia (India, Indonesia & Philippines), Africa (Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana & Uganda) and Latin America (Peru). As part of Westford's philanthropic arm, 'WeCares' this initiative seeks to make a positive impact on the environment and society. We are also seeking partnerships with other international non-governmental organizations in order to expand its outreach to more countries in the future.
This partnership aims to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation as one of its key objectives. Additionally, it will simplify the process of planting trees anywhere in the world for our students. All that is necessary to restore our forests and conserve our planet's biodiversity is a strong commitment and determination. Although we have already planted more than 200 trees in partnership with Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) in December 2021, where Westfordians (students and staff) based in the UAE joined zealously to contribute to a global solution, this is the first time we have done this for our geographically dispersed student community. With the world becoming increasingly virtual, it was unnecessary to delay including all of our online learners in this noble endeavour. We are confident that we will continue to work together with our students to contribute to a more sustainable future for our global community.

We are committed to Generation Restoration: Ecosystem Restoration for People, Nature, and Climate. In keeping with our commitment to be environmental stewards, Westford took a pledge on World Environment Day to plant a sapling for every student enrolled in the next year.

Our partnership with 'One Tree Planted' helps us plant saplings in several countries across the globe in the name of our online students, who are an important part of our learning community. Our efforts are geared towards educating our students to preserve and conserve nature and to protect the environment.

Agriculture today has become a clear goal to achieve sustainability on all sides, primarily in non-profit and academic sectors. There is no doubt that this initiative today impacts future generations since the trees
today have provided us with food security and also have essential roles in preserving the soil and its more significant role on the climate and geographical nature. Today, Westford University Online seeks to raise
awareness among all its students to be more aware of sustainability. It has already achieved this in cooperation with One Tree Planted, as this initiative consolidates the role of giving sustainability to the land
on which we all live. I am very proud of what Westford Uni Online has achieved so far. In this aspect and every new morning, I discover
the extent of Westford's skill in achieving its humanitarian and moral role towards society as a whole.

Westford University is an excellent organization that works to conserve the environment. It contributes to the noble cause of planting trees and helping the environment by presenting a global biodiversity and implementation plan. People living around trees benefit greatly from their positive effects on
mental health and well-being. Furthermore, the benefits of planting areas will extend to improving environmental quality and improving amenities. It’s delightful and I wish Westford continued success with the wonderful tree planting project.
