Westford Inter-gaveliers Club Contest
The Westford Gaveliers Speech contest was held on 11th February 2023. This day marked the first time our Westford Gaveliers walked on stage and competed against 30+ experienced gaveliers. It
showed the courage of our members who were a part of the Gavels Club for less than 6 months and competed against members who have attended more than 200 meetings. However, we believed in our
abilities whilst having one important goal, i.e. winning in the top three spots. This day started with lots of
excitement and commitment which not only strengthened our faith but also our desire to win and
showcase the best in our hands. We worked as a team while encouraging each other that we are no less than others.
As the day had come to an end, our hearts were pounding deeply, our minds could not handle the anticipation. But there was one illumination of hope and courage. Da-da-da-dum-da-dum; the results
were announced!! We had 4 gaveliers from the Westford club winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in multiple categories (International Speech, Humorous Speech, Table Topics, and Evaluation)
A cordial congratulations to Baraa, Mizhab, Naomi, and myself for performing exceptionally well and proving our skills outside our comfort zones. Let's also not forget the other Westford Gaveliers who tried their level best and proved that we do not give up!! With this, we look forward to bringing home more trophies in the future. Success and grit are part of Westford Gavels Club DNA.
