On 18th January, we were honored to host Ms. Purva Grover who is a best-selling author, international journalist & editor, TEDx Speaker, award-winning playwright, stage director, published poetess, spoken word artist, and creative entrepreneur. As we like to call it, a woman who wears many hats. Touching upon the topic “Words Matter”, she explained the importance of reading and writing and how many of us don’t even realize that we’re doing it quite often. Especially in the case of students who are reading multiple texts, posts, writing emails, and assignments. It isn’t necessarily limited to reading newspapers or writing books. So, if we don’t find difficulty in doing that, what’s stopping us from actually trying to write articles on our favorite topics and slowly progressing towards writing a book?
She stated that words have the power to bring change, touch hearts, and awaken minds. So why not use the power of words to share your ideas with the world? The session was an eye-opener for our students, and we thank Ms. Purva Grover for spending her valuable time with Westford’s young leaders.
