Mahe Research Colloquium

Mahe Research Colloquium

Participating in the 1st International Student Research Colloquium 2023 organized by the School of Humanities & Social Sciences organized at MAHE was an incredible experience that left an indelible mark on my university journey at Westford University College. The event, which brought together brilliant minds from various disciplines, proved to be a melting pot of innovative ideas and intellectual stimulation.

The honor of collaborating with my teammates Samuel James, Reyha Rao, and Sahil Dewani, on the paper titled ‘Application of Voice Biomarkers in Speech-Based Mental Health Prognosis’. It was an exhilarating and thrilling experience to see our paper selected from over 50 submissions from across the UAE.

Taking part in the Research Colloquium has not only enhanced my research skills but has also contributed to the expansion of my horizons. I also was able to learn a lot from the other Westford team, particularly their innovative idea on the use of smart AI glasses - AIRIS. As a result of this experience, I am motivated to continue to contribute to research and actively seek out opportunities to engage with the wider research community. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity that Westford university college has given me to fuel my passion for research and open doors to new possibilities.
