The BSc (Hons) in Computer Science students at Westford recently had the opportunity to visit Equinix Data center in Dubai for an industry visit. Upon arriving at the Equinix facility, the students were greeted by a team of knowledgeable and friendly employees who were eager to share their expertise with them.
The employees gave the students a tour of the facility, showcasing the various components that make up a data centre, such as server racks, cooling systems, and the wide network infrastructure.
The students were amazed by the size and scale of the operation and the attention to detail that goes into ensuring the smooth operation of the data centre.
Throughout the visit, the students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with the Equinix team. The employees shared with them the challenges and opportunities faced by companies in the data center industry and the importance of data centers in today’s digital age.
The students learned about the various career paths available in the industry and were inspired by the passion and dedication of Equinix employees.
